About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Granite Finisher to join our team at Take Us For Granite Ontario Ltd. in Ontario. As a Granite Finisher, you will be responsible for operating machinery to cut, grind, and polish stone products to precise specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate machinery: Use blade or wire saws to cut blocks of stone to specified dimensions, and operate machines to grind and polish surfaces of stone blocks, slabs, or other stone products to specific shape or design.
  • Quality Control: Check products for quality control to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Maintenance and Adjustments: Perform ongoing machine adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Drilling and Finishing: Operate machines to drill holes in blocks or slabs of stone according to specifications, and finish stone products with spray paint and by mounting plaques or installing concrete bases.
  • Reading and Interpretation: Read blueprint, schemas, and drawings to understand specifications and requirements.
Work Environment

As a Granite Finisher, you will work in a fast-paced environment with noisy and dusty conditions. You will be required to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring attention to detail and ability to work in a repetitive task environment.
  • Security and Safety: Must undergo a drug test and criminal record check.
