IT Project Manager III Job Description

At Frontier Airlines, we're committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers. As an IT Project Manager III, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of large-scale IT projects and programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage complex IT projects and programs from inception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource plans to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Act as a mentor and subject matter expert in IT project management methodology for the business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and align project objectives with company goals.
  • Oversee strategic planning, monitoring, and adapting as needed to ensure project success.
  • Expertly create and manage all necessary project documentation.
  • Monitor, drive, and manage project scope, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Clearly communicate and manage project expectations to all stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project-related meetings and ensure effective project management.
  • Manage projects using multiple project management methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, POC, and Hybrid.
  • Participate in the development and evolution of PMO standards.
Requirements:
  • 8-10+ years of experience with highly complex IT projects/programs from inception to completion.
  • Master's Degree in IT Project Management, Business Analysis, or IT Leadership preferred; combination of relevant education and work experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Masters Certification in IT Project Management, Certified Scrum Master, or similar work experience is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in the commercial aviation field or relatable experience.
  • Experience with enterprise network systems, IT implementation, development, or complex process changes.
  • Leadership experience in establishing technology direction and utilization.
  • Proven experience managing external vendor relationships for project delivery.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced knowledge of use case, business, business requirement, functional requirement, and user stories validation and management.
  • Expert-level knowledge of IT project management templates and software.
  • Demonstrated ability to set project management standards and unify project teams around those standards.
