Your Role:

Reporting to the Manager of Procurement Operations, the Senior Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting users of procurement systems and processes, as well as collaborating with process owners and system managers to ensure the effective maintenance of CBC/Radio-Canada platforms.

Your responsibilities include leading process reviews and re-engineering initiatives, documenting processes and procedures, and managing various system activities, including hands-on maintenance of system data and configuration.

You will also support departmental reporting and KPIs, along with the strategic sourcing process by conducting analytical studies and supplier needs assessments for assigned categories to drive cost reductions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer application functionalities, which encompass supplier and user adoption, workflow configuration, and training coordination for both current and new users during the implementation phase.
  • Develop automation solutions and generate procurement reports for management and other stakeholders.
  • Create and analyze reports strategically to provide metrics and KPIs for informed decision-making and communication purposes.
  • Maintain procurement databases, including contracts, specifications, pricing, and all related information.
  • Provide ongoing support for the implementation and development of the Source-to-Procure (S2P) application and other procurement platforms.
  • Conduct market research to identify innovative procurement solutions.
  • Monitor spending and savings, including continuous improvement initiatives and supplier performance metrics.
  • Formulate proposals and recommendations for enhancements to supply management processes and actively contribute to driving efficiency.
  • Assist in evaluating new features by executing predefined test scenarios or related tasks.
  • Maintain effective communication with sourcing and business teams to optimize their respective operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience in business administration, accounting, supply chain management, finance, or an IT discipline.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience within a procurement department utilizing enterprise procurement system applications such as Ariba and SAP.
  • In-depth knowledge of purchasing processes, public procurement, best practices, and general interdependencies in finance and business.
  • Open-minded, innovative, and self-assured approach in the face of challenges.
  • Service-oriented and detail-focused mindset with the ability to communicate effectively and independently with individuals at all levels.
  • Proficient in basic software applications (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.).
  • Fluent bilingualism in English and French, both spoken and written.
  • Familiarity with Crown corporations and government agencies is an asset.
