  • Advocacy for Financial Planning: Serve as a knowledgeable advocate for financial planning, which is integral to Scotia Wealth Management's offerings:
    • Deliver expert financial planning counsel on intricate strategies.
    • Motivate advisors and Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) to weave financial planning into their operational frameworks.
    • Highlight the significance, advantages, and outcomes of financial planning to advisors, BRMs, and clients, ensuring a cohesive and systematic approach.
  • Technical Support: Offer guidance on the utilization of local financial planning software.
  • Educational Initiatives: Organize and lead workshops and seminars for clients and staff on relevant financial planning subjects.
  • Collaboration with Specialists: Forge professional connections with external experts (such as CPAs, attorneys, or other qualified professionals) to deliver exceptional service in complex planning scenarios.
  • Professional Standards: Uphold the established practices of financial planning and adhere to internal service agreements:
    • Remain updated on current financial planning trends.
    • Engage actively in the Financial Planning team's training and development efforts, contributing to overall performance.
    • Ensure consistent quality service to clients.
  • Expertise: Possess in-depth technical and practical knowledge of the financial planning process, encompassing investments, asset protection, retirement strategies, estate planning, cash management, and tax considerations.
  • Software Proficiency: Have extensive knowledge of financial planning software (Naviplan).
  • Educational Background: A University Degree is required.
  • Language Proficiency: As per the language needs assessment by Scotiabank, the successful candidate must be proficient in both English and French to facilitate collaboration with various head office teams and cater to an English-speaking clientele.
