· Implement and assess cross-functional decisions that facilitate the organization in meeting its goals.

· Evaluate the organization's capacity to undertake and successfully deliver initiatives or changes.

· Formulate and execute business strategies and plans that align with organizational objectives.

· Assess the relationship between organizational goals and operational execution to ensure alignment at both strategic and operational levels.

· Transform challenges into solutions or new opportunities by identifying and researching best practices.

· Conduct Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis to inform strategic planning.

· Develop mission and vision statements that reflect the organization's aspirations.

Additional Responsibilities:

The Business Consultant may be required to undertake the following tasks as directed by project authorities:

· Review best practices from other departments.

· Ensure alignment with relevant policy frameworks and initiatives.

· Consider the impacts of transformative activities within the broader governmental context.

· Engage with relevant stakeholders in the development of final deliverables.

· Explore business model options and identify opportunities for strengthening and reforming organizational duties.

· Recommend realignment of roles and responsibilities to meet transformation needs while achieving resource efficiency.

· Identify risks associated with proposal implementations and develop mitigation strategies.

· Formulate implementation strategies as necessary.

Qualifications:

· Proven experience as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a minimum of three years within the Government of Canada, alongside experience as a Chief Information Officer (CIO) in either the public or private sector within the last fifteen years.

· A minimum of ten years of experience in providing strategic advice for financial or corporate management systems to senior management in the public sector over the last fifteen years.

· At least three years of experience in the business transformation of SAP-based financial systems within the Government of Canada in the last ten years.

· A minimum of ten years of experience at the senior management level in developing a wide range of processes and policies in an Information Management/Information Technology/Enterprise Transformation environment over the last fifteen years.
