Job Title: Welder/Fabricator

C&A Group is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. As a key member of our metal fabrication team, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components to meet the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Comply with and take part in all C&A health and safety program requirements.
  • Comply with all Provincial Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Comply with all Prime Contractor Health and Safety requirements, rules, and regulations.
  • Journeypersons shall possess an Alberta Welding Certificate or Inter-Provincial red seal.
  • Apprentices shall possess the education level (High School Diploma) as mandated by regulatory authorities.
  • Pass CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) welding tests.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications.
  • Work to close tolerances.
  • Use manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal components using processes such as SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW.
  • Knowledge of metals, relevant product codes, regulations, and laws.
  • Knowledge of applied mathematics (i.e., fractions, measuring and geometry).
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
  • Determine welding procedures to minimize distortion.
  • Operate trade-related equipment.
Requirements
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications.
  • Knowledge of metals, relevant product codes, regulations, and laws.
  • Knowledge of applied mathematics (i.e., fractions, measuring and geometry).
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude.
