MTE Consultants, Inc. is in search of a Geotechnical Project Manager to oversee operations from our Kitchener office.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee a diverse range of geotechnical engineering initiatives;
- Coordinate field operations related to various investigations, including drilling and test pitting;
- Manage compaction testing of soil and asphalt utilizing a nuclear gauge, alongside concrete testing and aggregate sampling;
- Conduct onsite reporting and coordination for geotechnical inspections pertaining to footing and subgrade;
- Draft and review proposals, technical documentation, and design drawings;
- Ensure timely and precise invoicing while maintaining the financial viability of projects;
- Provide leadership, mentorship, training, and technical guidance to junior personnel;
- Continuously identify opportunities to foster and sustain client relationships and business development prospects;
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering;
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience;
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities;
- Proficient technical report writing skills;
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel, as well as familiarity with AutoCAD and Geo-Slope;
- Understanding of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and safe work practices in environments involving heavy machinery and construction;
- Standard First Aid & CPR certification is an asset;
- Outstanding problem-solving capabilities;
- Meticulous attention to detail;
- Possession of a valid Driver's License and access to a dependable vehicle;
- Successful completion of a Criminal Records Check within the last six months.
