Job Title: Residential Landscape Construction Lead Hand

Oakridge Landscape Contractors is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Landscape Construction Lead Hand to join our team in Hamilton. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in the daily management of construction projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the foreperson in managing a crew of 3-6 people, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Operate company trucks and trailers, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents to ensure accurate project execution.
  • Install natural stone, interlock paving stone, precast pavers, and retaining walls, demonstrating expertise in various landscape construction techniques.
  • Perform tasks such as digging holes, placing soils, planting trees and shrubs, and trimming shrubs and evergreens, as required.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve project goals, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License "G" and a clean Driver's Abstract.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of field experience in landscape construction, with a strong understanding of materials, methods, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Strong knowledge of job safety and safe work habits, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work long hours and occasional Saturdays, as required.
