Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

Q's Restaurant is seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply needs to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Monitor and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to optimize inventory management.
  • Establish work schedules to meet business needs and ensure adequate staffing.
  • Support the integration of newcomers and refugees into our team, including providing assistance with settlement needs and facilitating access to community resources.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations to promote cultural competency and inclusivity.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Work Environment:

Q's Restaurant is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires a high level of energy and enthusiasm. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be working in a restaurant setting with a diverse team of staff.

Language:

English is the primary language of communication in this role.

Hours:

30 to 40 hours per week.
