About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Sukhdev Restaurant Inc. as a key member of our restaurant operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of food service staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure high-quality performance.
  • Food Service Management
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and manage inventory levels to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
    • Prepare and submit reports on sales, stock, and other key performance indicators.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, and ensure that all customer interactions are positive and memorable.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare and submit budgets and cost estimates, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Team Management
    • Supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys, ensuring that all food is presented in a clean and appealing manner.
    • Establish work schedules and ensure that all staff are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service management role.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
    • Physically demanding role requiring attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Efficient interpersonal skills and excellent oral communication.
    • Flexibility and ability to work well under pressure.
    • Team player with initiative and a positive attitude.
