Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Great Canadian Entertainment. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for protecting our assets and providing a safe and welcoming environment for our guests and team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and document internal and external violations, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards.
  • Enforce restricted access and observe transactions, slot drops, and chip fills.
  • Perform identification checks and refer disputes to the Security Supervisor.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior of the property.
  • Escort guests and team members and perform crowd control as directed.
  • Attend to first aid incidents and assist with enrolling guests in the Self-Exclusion program.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education an asset.
  • Two years of experience working with the public in a service role or in the service industry.
  • Previous experience or training in security an asset.
  • First Aid/CPR and Responsible Beverage certifications required.
  • Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Gaming Registration within the applicable province.

Working Conditions

This is a fast-paced role with multiple priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will be exposed to some conflict, distress, and noise. The role requires a flexible schedule that adapts to business needs, including evening or weekend shifts.
