We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Casual Crossing Guard. As a Crossing Guard, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of students to and from school at designated public crosswalks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure students' safety to and from school at specified public crosswalks
- Report injuries and behavioral problems to the Principal or designate
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements:
- Grade 12 graduation preferred
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relations with staff and students
- Good interpersonal, decision-making, behavior management, and communication skills
- Good general health
- Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather
- Knowledge of First Aid is an asset
Working Conditions:
- Casual/on-call shifts are 2 hours per day (a.m. & p.m.), Monday - Friday, while school is in session
- Short-term assignments may also be available
- Casual employment may lead to a regular position in the district
Compensation:
- Crossing Guard pay rate is $25.55/hour
