Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Plumber Journeyman/Woman to join our team at District Mechanical. As a key member of our plumbing team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Repair
    • Install domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
    • Repair domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
  • Design and Planning
    • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network, and waste and drainage systems
  • Leadership and Training
    • Instruct apprentices
  • Site Preparation
    • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors
    • Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
  • Pipe Fitting and Testing
    • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
    • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Project Management
    • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
    • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size
