Job Title: General Duty Medical Radiology Technologist

At Shared Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated General Duty Medical Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.

Job Summary

The General Duty Medical Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines. This includes operating imaging equipment, preparing patients for procedures, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process and obtaining informed consent
  • Operate imaging equipment, including adjusting settings and ensuring proper function
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, including disposing of hazardous materials and cleaning equipment
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Medical Radiography program with certification by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
  • Active registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient analytical skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
