Job Title: Disability Support Worker

LutherCare Communities is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personal care and support to residents with cognitive and/or physical disabilities who have high medical needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide medical, physical, and personal support to residents, including personal care, medication administration, and other duties.
  • Facilitate resident daily living activities and participation in the community.
  • Perform housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation tasks.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline (e.g., Disability Support Worker, Continuing Care Assistant).
  • Minimum one year of experience working with cognitively and/or physically disabled adults with high medical needs.
  • Comfortable providing medical support as required.
  • Sign language is desirable.
  • Available to work shifts that include days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to interpret, read, write, and speak English fluently.
