Job Summary:
The Production Operator plays a vital role in the manufacturing process at Vecima Networks Inc., ensuring the efficient assembly and testing of electronic components and sub-assemblies. This position requires a strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble electronic components and sub-assemblies in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
- Perform material handling and storage tasks to ensure efficient production flow.
- Operate and maintain Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to prevent damage to products and ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in daily team meetings to discuss production goals, share ideas, and address any concerns or issues.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of previous manufacturing assembly and test experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high sense of urgency and flexibility to cross-train within different areas of production.
- Intermediate computer skills, including working knowledge of Excel and Word documents.
- Ability to lift 35lbs of weight safely.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
