About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a Companion at Spectrum Health Care. As a Companion, you will play a vital role in providing companionship and support to our clients in their homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in activities that promote their physical and mental well-being.
  • Assist with basic household tasks, such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry.
  • Provide respite care for clients while their primary caregivers are out of the home.
  • Maintain awareness of clients' abilities, medical conditions, and personal preferences.
  • Travel to clients' residences or facilities within assigned regions.

Requirements

  • Compassionate and empathetic individual with a passion for helping others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid Vulnerable Sector Police Check and TB Test (within 6 months) as a condition of employment.
  • TB Test (Within 1 year) and updated immunization record.
