OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW

As an Electrical Systems Application Consultant, you will serve as the key expert in specialized low and medium voltage electrical distribution products, particularly from a field service perspective. Your role will involve being the primary contact for assisting, guiding, and educating both internal and external service teams. Additionally, you will lead discussions with engineering teams concerning technical field service issues. Your duties will include providing technical support to service personnel and clients regarding diagnostics, commissioning, data collection, and maintenance of electrical systems, including other essential Regal Rexnord products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Field Service Technicians with the commissioning, troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance of low and medium voltage electrical distribution products. Offer technical support via phone or on-site, employing a systematic approach to resolve equipment issues. Document data and troubleshooting steps clearly to ensure effective communication with all stakeholders. Provide technical assistance for clients on electrical products through the Service Ticketing System. Create Method of Procedure (MOP) guidelines for each project, implementing necessary changes to existing systems by the Service Team on Regal Rexnord products. Continuously improve and update Service Forms and operational instructions. Liaise with Product Engineering/Design Teams regarding critical product updates that may impact service, software enhancements, or maintenance considerations. Develop and deliver technical training sessions for clients and/or staff on both new and existing products. Support the Technical Call Desk, Coordinators, and other cross-functional teams in addressing customer inquiries and challenges. Ensure a thorough understanding and compliance with all company policies, with a strong emphasis on quality standards and health and safety regulations. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors while delivering high-quality technical service. Participate in factory testing as required. Collaborate with third-party equipment vendors to resolve recurring issues with their products integrated within Regal Rexnord's offerings. Provide feedback on field issues identified by Service Technicians to Manufacturing and Engineering, focusing on quality control and design specifications. Work with production and engineering teams to address any identified deficiencies. Collaborate with the Field Service Supervisor to schedule field resources to meet service demands. Travel to various sites to provide on-site technical support to Field Service Technicians as necessary. Perform additional duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field. Over 10 years of technical experience in the Power Generation sector or a comparable industry. At least 5 years of hands-on experience in the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, upgrading, and retrofitting of electrical distribution systems, including low and medium voltage switchgear, ATSs, automation controls, and backup power systems. Previous Field Service experience with an OEM or a reputable service provider. A responsible, self-driven individual with a strong work ethic, excellent time management, and interpersonal skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. A collaborative team player capable of interfacing with various management levels and cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure follow-up on competing priorities. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Knowledge of PLC and HMI programming and applications. Strong understanding and ability to interpret detailed electrical and mechanical schematics and ladder logic programs.
