Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team at the Portage la Prairie School Division. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, including circuit breakers, wiring, and electrical panels.
  • Install and upgrade electrical systems, including new wiring and electrical panels.
  • Conduct electrical safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure seamless operation of our facilities.
  • Develop and implement electrical safety procedures and protocols.
Requirements
  • Red Seal Certification in Electrical Trades.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of related experience in electrical maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to set priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Grade 12 standing or equivalent.
  • Valid Manitoba Driver's Licence.
  • Physically and medically fit to perform assigned duties.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
