Position Overview

The role of a Culinary Support Staff involves various essential tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen environment. This position is crucial for maintaining cleanliness and organization in food preparation areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clear and sanitize tables, trays, and chairs to maintain a hygienic dining area.
  • Dishwashing: Operate dishwashers and wash dishes, glassware, and flatware by hand as needed.
  • Food Preparation: Assist in preparing, heating, and finishing simple food items while ensuring all ingredients are properly handled.
  • Stock Management: Replenish condiments and supplies at tables and serving areas, and stock refrigerators and salad bars.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash to uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean and sanitize kitchen appliances, work surfaces, and storage areas.
  • Vegetable and Fruit Preparation: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits as part of meal preparation.
Work Environment

This position requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage heavy loads. The job entails repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods, often working under pressure.

Physical Requirements

Employees in this role must be capable of handling weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
