Job Summary

Comox Fireplace and Patio is seeking a skilled Journeyman/Woman Gas Fitter to join our team. As a key member of our installation and service team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas heating units and their components, as well as advising clients on standards, safety features, and maintenance of gas units and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain gas heating units and their components, including meters and regulators, and gas lines between gas units and gas meters.
  • Service and repair gas heating units and their components, including appliances and related equipment.
  • Advise clients on standards, safety features, and maintenance of gas units and systems.
  • Study drawings and specifications to determine the layout of installations and materials required.
  • Estimate costs and materials for gas installations and repairs.
  • Test and replace defective equipment or components.
Requirements
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
