Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator with GPS experience to join our team at Golderado Contracting Corp. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safe working conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment, including excavators, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and secure special attachments.
  • Communicate effectively with team members using two-way radios and other communication equipment.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment and execute high-volume production tasks.
  • Fine grade and finish surfaces.
  • Assist other operators, labourers, and trades as needed.
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an excavator operator or equivalent is required.
  • CSTS-09, WHMIS 2015, Ground Disturbance Level 2 certifications are required.
  • Ability to identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes, and produce workable solutions.
  • Ability to work positively within a team to achieve a common goal.
  • Reliable means of transportation is required.
  • Proficient English language skills are required.
  • Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
