About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at Sushi Modo. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a high level of hygiene and safety standards.
  • Operate dishwashers and washing machines to ensure dishes, glassware, and utensils are cleaned and sanitized to a high standard.
  • Prepare and portion food items, including vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients, for use in our kitchen.
  • Stock and maintain inventory of food and cleaning supplies, ensuring that our kitchen is well-stocked and organized at all times.
  • Assist with food preparation, including peeling, slicing, and trimming ingredients, as well as cooking and reheating food items.
  • Participate in cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen, including floors, walls, and equipment, to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the smooth operation of our kitchen.
Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects, as well as stand for long periods of time.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings, as well as weekends and holidays.
