About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at Intact Financial Corporation.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Identify and monitor security events to ensure the integrity of our systems and data.
  2. Provide expert advice and support to our team on all aspects of cybersecurity.
  3. Develop and implement key risk metrics and indicators to measure and report information-related risks.
  4. Classify and mitigate security risks, proposing effective solutions to operational issues.
  5. Analyze risks associated with various options and propose a balanced security solution.
  6. Identify gaps in IT compliance controls and oversee the documentation, implementation, and testing of our IT compliance control portfolio.
  7. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and propose the introduction of new security practices and technologies when beneficial.
  8. Perform or coordinate application security tests for project teams.
  9. Interpret the results of application security tests, including code scanning and application intrusions.
  10. Inform and educate development teams on application security development standards, methods, and tools.
Requirements:
  1. University degree in information security or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  2. 8-10 years of experience in cybersecurity, DevOps, or infrastructure teams.
  3. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in information technology, specifically in information technology security.
  4. Experience working with a SIEM such as Microsoft Sentinel and Google.
  5. Experience in SOAR automation.
  6. Experience in User and Entity Behavior Analysis (UEBA).
  7. In-depth understanding of Kafka.
  8. Understanding of Linux terminal.
  9. Security certification is an asset.
  10. Strong knowledge of application security principles and practices.
  11. Strong and practical knowledge of Cloud environment security risks and tools available in AWS or other cloud environments.
  12. Experience in a DevSecOps - CI/CD environment.
  13. Good understanding of common security gaps in data and cloud applications and of operating techniques from sources such as SANS, OWASP Top 10, and Cloud Security Alliance (CSA).
  14. Good understanding of common security gaps in data/AI applications.
  15. Team player with good collaboration skills.
  16. Strong ethical principles and understanding of business and information security ethics.
  17. Eligibility to work in Canada.
