We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Settlement Caseworker to join our team at The Salvation Army. As a key member of our newcomer services team, you will play a vital role in supporting the settlement and integration of newcomers to Canada.
Key Responsibilities:- Guide clients through the settlement and integration process, providing personalized support and case management.
- Assess client suitability for internal and external programs, providing referrals and support in system navigation.
- Maintain accurate case file information through our online case management system and physical documentation.
- Coordinate and facilitate settlement-related programs, including orientation, housing, employment, education, language, and community building.
- Host community building and networking events to foster connections among newcomers.
- Completion of a formal post-secondary program in Social Service or a related field.
- At least two years of experience working in case management, outreach, or group facilitation with newcomers to Canada.
- Strong knowledge of settlement and integration processes, community resources, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
