About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Chuck's Roadhouse Bar & Grill. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Keep accurate records of food quantities used, ensuring efficient inventory management.
  • Package take-out food and prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet customer demands.
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, providing excellent customer service.
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars, ensuring a well-stocked and organized kitchen.
  • Take customers' orders and use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, ensuring a clean and tidy kitchen.
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, preparing them for cooking.
Requirements
  • Experience in a kitchen environment is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and stand for long periods.
