Packaging Specialist

Job Summary:

The Packaging Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all furniture is properly wrapped and packaged for shipment. This includes the use of appropriate packaging materials, lifting and maneuvering heavy objects, and taking pictures of furniture prior to and after packaging to document completeness of shipment and quality of furniture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wrap and package furniture using proper techniques and materials
  • Lift and maneuver heavy objects safely and efficiently
  • Take pictures of furniture prior to and after packaging to document completeness of shipment and quality of furniture
  • Use pallet jacks to move materials around the warehouse
  • Understand and adhere to safety policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
  • Organized and able to prioritize work activities
  • Inquisitive and driven by the pursuit of excellence
  • Demonstrates good initiative and safe work practice

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a wood or manufacturing shop
  • Knowledge of power tools and equipment
