Global Functions Technology (GFT) operates within the Technology and Operations division of RBC, playing a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge IT solutions across various sectors including Risk, Finance, HR, and Compliance. We are dedicated to fostering innovation and collaboration, empowering our employees to develop their technical and professional skills while engaging with diverse teams.

As a key member of our dynamic Finance IT team, you will oversee Test Implementation and Test Automation for our Big Data Platform, utilizing advanced technologies such as Cloud, Kafka, and Containerization. Your leadership will be instrumental in enhancing QE Automation processes and ensuring high-quality test execution across multiple applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive quality engineering strategy, focusing on functional testing and automation initiatives.
  • Lead and manage a diverse team, ensuring they have the necessary training and resources to achieve their objectives.
  • Maximize automation across all functional testing deliverables within the project portfolio.
  • Maintain alignment with established QE processes and frameworks, providing detailed quality status updates to stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of accountability for the success of assigned programs in relation to testing automation.
  • Collaborate with Application Development Directors to integrate quality engineering principles within the DevOps pipeline.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency in various test automation tools such as Robot Framework and Selenium.
  • Experience in scripting with languages like Unix, Python, and SQL.
  • Hands-on expertise in Big Data testing, including Data Ingestion and Quality Assurance.
  • Strong communication skills coupled with a visionary approach to Test Automation.

Preferred:

  • Experience in conducting code reviews and utilizing SDLC, QE, and DevOps tools.
  • Familiarity with data masking technologies and Agile methodologies.
