Maintenance Mechanic Job Description

OAK & STONE CONSTRUCTIONS is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coach and instruct apprentices in the maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery
  • Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in equipment and systems
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of other maintenance personnel
  • Fabricate parts and components as required for maintenance and repair
  • Estimate costs and materials for maintenance and repair projects
  • Operate a variety of machinery and equipment, including machining tools and hoisting equipment
  • Install and maintain machinery and equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work under pressure.

Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a maintenance or related role

Please note that this is a permanent, on-the-road job with a 35-40 hour workweek. The work language is English.
