About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chemical Research Scientist to join our team at GL Chemtec International. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for conducting research into the synthesis and properties of chemical compounds and the mechanisms of chemical reactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze, synthesize, purify, modify and characterize chemical or biochemical compounds
  • Conduct research into the synthesis and properties of chemical compounds and the mechanisms of chemical reactions
  • Develop and conduct programs of analysis to ensure quality control of raw materials, chemical intermediates or final products
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
  • Prepare reports
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new products and processes
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in a research and development role
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Judgement and problem-solving skills
  • Organized and able to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge of Minitab and other relevant software
