We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Supervisor to join our team at Quo Painting Ltd. as a key member of our painting division. Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the work of painters and decorators to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of project progress, including timelines, budgets, and quality control measures.
- Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Recruit, train, and develop a team of skilled painters and decorators to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Ensure that all equipment and machinery are properly maintained and operated in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and company policies.
- Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure that all work meets the highest standards of quality and workmanship.
- Conduct regular safety inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the quality of work.
- 3-4 years of experience in a supervisory role in the painting and decorating industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and leading teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, and safety glasses/goggles required.
