Job Title: Senior Manager, Trade Reporting Specialist

At Scotiabank, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Trade Reporting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Capital Markets group, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance on G20 OTC trade reporting requirements and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide SME guidance to project teams and stakeholders on G20 OTC trade reporting requirements and regulations.
  • Lead business requirements gathering, data mapping, and transformation rules for various asset classes and products.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and Trade Reporting SMEs to drive out business requirements and develop project plans.
  • Guide project managers in creating project plans and updates, and lead UAT execution and defect review meetings.
  • Analyze the impact of change requests on test execution and prioritize test cases accordingly.
  • Develop an approach, plan, and stakeholder engagement model for end-to-end requirements processes for trade reporting and related controls.
  • Investigate external vendor and regulatory technical specifications to create data mappings and transformation rules.
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of DTCC and other Swap Data Repository Specifications to work with minimum guidance in data mapping and test case creation exercises.
  • Collaborate with the development team to explain functional requirements and data mappings to ensure technical solutions meet business needs.
  • Lead test case creation efforts for assigned streams and perform data analysis and validation.
  • Participate in industry working groups and communicate industry views on rules operationalization and issue resolution.
Requirements:
  • Experience working as a Business Analyst in Capital Markets.
  • OTC derivatives product knowledge and regulatory experience.
  • Knowledge of G20 OTC trade reporting requirements and regulations.
  • Exceptional business analysis skills and demonstrated success participating in project lifecycles.
  • Experience leading a team.
