Job Title: Logistics and Shipping Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics and Shipping Coordinator to join our team at Randstad Canada. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods and materials from our warehouse to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine shipping priorities and schedules, work assignments, and shipping routes and methods
  • Prepare bills of lading, export documents, and manifests
  • Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities
  • Distribute and manage workload for employees to ensure work is completed throughout the day
  • Assist with determining shipping priorities and schedules, work assignments, and shipping routes and methods
  • Train drivers on job duties, safety procedures, and company policies
  • Operate forklifts, hand trucks, or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods
  • Ensure paperwork and shipping documents are processed accurately through the SAP system
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, recording shortages and rejecting damaged goods
  • Coordinate with various carriers, negotiate and compare quotes before placing orders
  • Participate in HR and Health and Safety processes by promoting teamwork, coaching employees, and being a safety advocate
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of dispatching experience in a manufacturing environment and a high school diploma
  • Experience in forklift (counter balance) operation and warehouse experience an asset but not required
  • High School diploma
  • Proficiency in spoken and written French and English
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using SAP within the manufacturing industry would be preferred
