Position Overview

The role of a Material Handler involves essential responsibilities in the logistics and distribution sector. This position is vital for ensuring the smooth operation of product flow within a retail or wholesale environment.

Education Requirements
  • No formal education, certificate, or diploma is required.
Work Environment
  • Relocation expenses will be covered by the employer.
  • Work is conducted in a retail/wholesale establishment or distribution center.
Key Responsibilities
  • Efficiently load, unload, and transport products and materials using basic material handling equipment.
  • Operate various machinery to facilitate the movement of goods.
  • Process shipping orders and manage inventory.
  • Accurately pick and stock items as needed.
  • Weigh and label materials and products for distribution.
  • Provide excellent customer service during the handling of goods.
  • Wrap, pack, and unpack items as required.
  • Secure and install goods for safe transport.
  • Organize and maintain inventory records, utilizing computerized systems.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of 3-4 individuals.
Work Conditions
  • Fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
  • Repetitive tasks with tight deadlines.
  • Requires handling of heavy loads and prolonged periods of standing.
  • Attention to detail and strong hand-eye coordination are essential.
