Job Summary

Excelone Staffing Services is seeking a skilled Garbage Truck Loader to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient collection and disposal of waste in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Maintain Public Spaces: Clean and maintain sidewalks, streets, roads, and public grounds to ensure a clean and healthy environment for the community.
  • Collect and Load Refuse: Collect and load refuse on garbage trucks, ensuring that all waste is properly secured and transported to designated disposal facilities.
  • Assist Equipment Operators: Assist equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment or trucks, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Load and Unload Trucks: Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Work Setting: This position will involve working with private contractors and may require working in a variety of environments, including outdoors and in inclement weather.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: A valid driver's license and own transportation are required for this position.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and 45 kg (100 lbs) on a regular basis.
  • Weight Handling: The ability to lift and handle heavy weights is essential for this position.
  • Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots are required for this position.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, excellent oral communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team are essential for this position.
