About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Controls Specialist to join our team at Trojan Technologies. As a key member of our Water Quality division, you will be responsible for designing and developing custom PLC and HMI applications for Municipal Water and Waste Water UV Treatment Projects.

Your primary focus will be on creating written narratives describing UV System control and operation, as well as writing and executing test protocols for project and customer verifications. You will also have the opportunity to grow into a technical expert, liaising with globally located partners in sales, project, production, service, and product teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop custom PLC and HMI applications for Municipal Water and Waste Water UV Treatment Projects
  • Create written narratives describing UV System control and operation
  • Write and execute test protocols for project and customer verifications
  • Liaise with globally located partners in sales, project, production, service, and product teams
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Electrical / Controls System Engineering
  • Experience in PLC and HMI programming for a minimum of 5 years developing complex customer or product logic solutions utilizing Rockwell Studio5000 and FactoryTalk View
  • Experience in reading electrical schematics, P&ID's, and customer specifications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Siemens TIA Portal, Schneider Control Expert, and Vijeo Designer
  • Knowledge of industrial network protocols and embedded systems
