Key Responsibilities- Education and Training: A College/CEGEP diploma in Dental Hygiene or a related field is required.
- Experience: We are willing to train the right candidate, so prior experience is not necessary, but a strong desire to learn and grow with our team is essential.
- Work Setting: Our dental practice is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and cases.
- Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Take accurate and detailed dental impressions to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized guidance to promote optimal oral health.
- Clean and stimulate the gums to prevent gum disease and promote overall oral health.
- Apply fluoride treatment to help prevent tooth decay and strengthen tooth enamel.
- Remove stains and deposits from teeth to improve appearance and overall oral health.
- Administer local anesthetics as needed to ensure patient comfort during procedures.
- Take, develop, and mount X-rays to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Perform restorative and orthodontic procedures under the direction of a dentist, as needed.
- Certifications and Licenses: A valid Dental Hygienists Licensure from the appropriate provincial or territorial governing body is required.
