Job Purpose

The HSE Advisor provides critical health, safety, and environmental support to our field operations teams. This role is instrumental in developing and implementing a front-line based safety program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance and support to field operations teams in adhering to Secure Energy Services Inc.'s Life Saving Rules and Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System (HSEMS).
  • Maintain a high level of in-person field support, with a minimum of 50% of time spent on-site.
  • Support core systems, including iTrak, work permitting and hazard assessment, job hazard assessment and TRAC, visitor orientations, safety tickets, emergency response planning, facility inspections and communication, safety manual, and COR audit.
  • Develop and maintain components of the HSEMS as required.
  • Ensure effective communication and consistency through active engagement in safety meetings, area calls, and general safety communications.
  • Continuously develop personal skills, specifically maintaining up-to-date safety tickets and related training.
  • Provide additional support as needed.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of direct experience in industry-related operations.
  • A High School Diploma.
  • OHS Certificate, CRSP, or NCSO designation.
  • Working knowledge of safety management systems and safe work practices.
  • Practical knowledge and experience in training and coaching staff.
  • A broad understanding of the HSE regulatory process and principles.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work well under pressure.
  • Strong ability to build working relationships and contacts within the organization, as well as with external regulators, vendors, and contractors.
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Hands-on experience performing operating tasks within facilities is considered a strong asset.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who live and maintain a permanent residence within the area where the operational facilities are located.
