We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Braemar Retirement Centre in Wingham, ON. Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care consistent with the College of Nurses of Ontario standards, Long-Term Care sector legislation, and organizational policies and practices.
- Complete all appropriate/assigned assessments within the required time frames.
- Supervise care provided by the Health Care Aide/Personal Support Worker in collaboration with the Registered Nurse.
- Assist the Registered Nurse in the oversight of the building, after hours and on weekends.
- Observe and report significant changes in the resident's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social conditions in a manner that demonstrates respect and maintains privacy and confidentiality for each resident.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical records on all residents according to established documentation policies and procedures and ensure the confidentiality of these records.
- Administration of medication following all medication management policies.
- Maintain effective communication and positive, professional interpersonal relationships with residents, colleagues, families, visitors, medical, allied staff members, and internal/external stakeholders.
- Participate in all required education.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse/Director of Care.
