Job Summary

We are seeking qualified Elementary Support Teachers to join our team at School District #42 (Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows). As an Elementary Support Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs and providing a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, adapt, and modify curriculum to meet the needs of students with special needs
  • Write, implement, and evaluate positive behavior support plans and strategies
  • Conduct assessments, including Level B tests, to identify student needs
  • Teach functional life skills and use technology to support student needs
  • Coordinate and facilitate the work of Education Assistants
Requirements
  • Certification with the Teacher Regulation Branch
  • Successful teaching experience and coursework in special education
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a strong team
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills
