Job Skills / Requirements

Position: | Full-Time Security Officer

Site: | Healthcare Facility

Hours: | Rotating Schedule - Daytime Only

Compensation: | $21.27/hour

Sample Schedule:


Week Sunday to Wednesday

Week Monday to Wednesday

Incentive for New Hires:
$250 after 6 months, an additional $250 after 12 months

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct proactive and responsive security patrols
  • Address emergency situations (medical, fire, and security incidents)
  • Provide patient monitoring as required
  • Enforce site regulations
  • Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate documentation
  • Utilize advanced de-escalation strategies and manage aggressive behavior
  • Work independently and collaboratively to ensure safety and security
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • Valid Security License
  • First Aid & CPR Level C Certification (from a recognized provider)
  • Ability to complete Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)

Health Considerations:

  • Must be clean-shaven for N95 Mask Fit Test
  • Proof of at least two COVID-19 vaccinations
  • Completed Immunization Records (MMR, Varicella, TB Skin Test (Step 1 & 2)

Experience:

  • Experience in the Security Industry (6 months - 1 year)
  • Healthcare experience is a strong asset
  • Customer Service experience (minimum six (6) months)

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Ability to remain calm in emergencies
  • Follow and enforce policies
  • Complete comprehensive reports
  • Manage extensive patrolling (including in various weather conditions)

Certifications:

  • Management of Aggressive Behavior and Use of Force training is mandatory for all new hires.
  • Paladin Security will cover the cost of this certification for new hires based on a six-month commitment contract.
