We are seeking a highly skilled Institutional Investment Analyst to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As an Institutional Investment Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting our clients across various asset classes and institutional mandates, with a primary focus on Liability Driven Investments.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and update monthly and quarterly slide presentations to support our clients' investment strategies.
- Develop and distribute client reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports.
- Prepare presentations, data analysis, and other forms of client communication as needed.
- Support research and analysis for white papers, product development, and internal/external seminars.
- Work with our client relationship management system to capture key business development activities and client information.
- Play a key role in the day-to-day support of client mandates, including mandate structuring, benchmark changes, cash flow management, and compliance monitoring.
- Prepare mandate-specific performance and attribution analysis on a quarterly basis.
- Collaborate with various teams to organize and create recommendations on transition trades and support implementation efforts as required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the investment and financial services industry.
- Undergraduate degree in finance, actuarial science, mathematics, or economics preferred.
- Superior literacy of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills and interest in markets.
- Flexibility to work overtime, particularly at quarter-end.
- High attention to detail and passion for excellence in quality of work.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and multi-task in high-pressure situations.
- CFA Candidate or willingness to pursue the designation.
- Knowledge of commonly used financial programs such as Bloomberg, PC Bond Analytics, and Salesforce.
- Experience with institutional pension plans.
