Job Description

Under the guidance of the execution engineering supervisor, the Project Execution Engineer will collaborate with project teams to implement equipment and water treatment facility projects. The engineer is tasked with validating designs. Their primary goal is to execute project engineering within the timelines and budgets established by the organization. Their robust technical expertise, combined with an innovative approach, will ensure success within our company.

  • Define technical specifications for products from suppliers.
  • Develop an engineering roadmap at the project's inception to outline deliverables, timelines, resources, and manage project risks.
  • Establish supply boundaries for installation contractors.
  • Detail interconnection piping.
  • Prepare and coordinate: P&IDs, overall factory layout designs, and installation and manufacturing plans for technology components with the drafting/design team.
  • Assess suppliers' proposals for technical specifications, timelines, and budgets.
  • Authorize and release technical specifications to the project manager for the establishment of purchase orders.
  • Compile engineering lists (equipment list, valves, instruments, etc.).
  • Assist the process and submission team in the preparation of submissions.
  • Support the commissioning team in the development of commissioning documents.
  • Provide project insights based on company practices.
  • Engage in the design of Veolia technologies.
  • Execute all other responsibilities related to project execution engineering.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, environmental engineering, water engineering, or a related field, accompanied by over five (5) years of experience.
  • Member of the OIQ.
  • Familiarity with water treatment equipment and processes.
  • Proficient in Gsuite (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.).
  • Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong collaborative skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail, with a commitment to precision and accuracy in designs.
  • Ability to engage with various internal and external stakeholders.
