Position Overview:


As a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist II, you will play a vital role in enhancing the communication abilities of children. This position involves working both autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, focusing on delivering assessment and therapeutic services primarily to preschool-aged children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:


In your capacity as a Speech Language Pathologist, you will engage in clinical practice that encompasses both independent work and teamwork.

Your duties will include:
  • Providing prevention, health promotion, assessment, intervention, and case management services.
  • Collaborating with patients, families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to plan and deliver rehabilitation services.
  • Utilizing your leadership and interpersonal skills to mentor students and offer clinical support to colleagues as needed.
  • Applying your clinical knowledge to drive continuous quality improvement, service integration, and program development.

Unit and Program: Children's Rehabilitation Services

Work Schedule: Regular Part Time

Hours per Shift: 7.75

Shift Pattern: Days

Compensation: Minimum Salary: $43.38, Maximum Salary: $57.63

Vehicle Requirement: Driver's License and Vehicle Required

Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).

Additional Qualifications:
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Reliable vehicle for business use and travel.

Preferred Experience:
Preference will be given to candidates with a background in pediatric rehabilitation and experience working alongside Therapy Assistants.
