Your Role:
As an Educational Developer, you will work closely with faculty, librarians, and staff to promote UDL principles, which are essential for creating inclusive learning environments. Your expertise will guide the development and implementation of pedagogical strategies that prioritize learner-centered approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and execute instructional program components.
2. Cultivate networks to enhance collaboration and capacity building.
3. Conduct thorough analyses to inform program planning.
4. Assess learning outcomes to guide program development.
5. Research and summarize curriculum trends for instructional staff.
6. Provide strategic advice to instructors on curriculum development.
7. Lead educational workshops and seminars.
8. Serve as a resource for specialized issues within the educational community.
Essential Qualifications:
1. A Master’s Degree in education or disability studies, or a combination of relevant experience.
2. At least five years of experience in a related field.
3. In-depth knowledge of UDL principles and inclusive pedagogy.
4. Familiarity with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the challenges faced by students with disabilities.
5. Proven experience in university-level instruction, program planning, and faculty development.
6. Strong communication and facilitation skills, with a track record of effective project management.
