Job Summary: We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Director, Government Relations and Partnerships. This is a key role that will play a critical part in advancing our relationships, reputation, and mission with governments and other strategic partners.

About the Role: Reporting to the Vice President Stakeholder Relations, the Director will work closely with industry partners and participate in industry associations and networking groups. The ideal candidate will bring extensive government relations experience, strong communication skills, and a genuine team player ability to build consensus and bridges across all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute integrated plans to drive results and advance our relationships with governments and other strategic partners.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry partners, and community leaders.
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to senior leadership on government relations and public affairs matters.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement effective communication strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, government policies, and regulatory developments.

Requirements:

  • 10 to 15 years of relevant government relations, public relations, and communications experience.
  • Strong political acumen and ability to influence outcomes.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment is a strong asset.
  • Proven ability to develop, execute, and measure integrated plans to drive results.
  • Successful track record in managing and building trusted relationships and prioritizing, negotiating, and collaborating with multiple levels of internal and external stakeholders.
