About the Role

Brandt is seeking a skilled Electronics Field Service Technician to join our team in Surrey. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for installing, calibrating, commissioning, servicing, and repairing various machine control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Installation and Repair: Perform installations, calibrations, and repairs of machine control systems, including electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic components, on heavy equipment such as crawler dozers, motor graders, excavators, skid steers, and paving systems.
  • Diagnostic and Troubleshooting: Conduct inspections, testing, diagnostics, and repairs on electronic devices and components, such as pipe lasers, laser levels, GPS receivers, GPS antennas, display screens, and data collectors, using various test equipment.
  • Work Order Management: Open, maintain, and close work orders, and submit technician reports and other relevant information based on the type of work completed.
  • Customer Support: Provide internal and external customer phone support, and mentor, train, and supervise other members of the service team.
  • Travel and Safety: Travel will be required, and you must be able to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, and a college, university, or technical trade program in electronics.
  • Experience: 2+ years of relevant work experience in electronics installation and repair, with a strong customer service orientation and excellent verbal and listening communication skills.
  • Skills: Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner, shows initiative in learning about products and customers, excellent time management skills, critical eye for identifying defects, and commitment to quality and safety.
