Position Overview

HongDe Elementary School is a unique bilingual institution that offers a comprehensive education in both Chinese and English. Our school is dedicated to fostering a love of learning and a strong sense of community among our students.

We are seeking a qualified Physical Education and Dance Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging PHE and Dance programs for students in grades K-5.

The ideal candidate will possess a current Certificate of Qualification from the BC Teacher Certification Branch and native or native-like fluency in both oral and written traditional Mandarin. They will also have a passion for health, wellness, physical activity, and sport, as well as a student-centered, inquiry-based, and collaborative approach to teaching.

We are committed to incorporating First Nations principles of learning throughout our practice and would like the successful candidate to be able to endorse our school's mission and vision statement.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students and colleagues, and to contribute to the development of our school's programs and policies.

We offer a competitive salary equivalent to BC public school teachers and a supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging PHE and Dance programs for students in grades K-5

Requirements
