Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Equipment Operations Manager to join our team at Precision Drilling. As a key member of our Precision Rentals division, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing our equipment fleet, maintaining professional relationships with maintenance vendors, and ensuring the highest level of safety excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Fleet Management: Manage and supervise the maintenance staff, ensuring that all requisite tasks are handled quickly and efficiently within budget restraints.
  • Safety Excellence: Set and maintain the standard of Safety Excellence by working with front-line workers, management, and the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) department to ensure Precision continues as a leader in safety.
  • Travel and Repairs: Travel around the province when needed and perform various types of repairs, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic.
  • Communication and Coordination: Communicate effectively with employees, engineers, vendors, and third-party contractors, and coordinate and oversee shop repairs specific to solids control.
  • Asset Management: Control and track asset inventory, maintain adequate parts and tools, and ensure cost-effective operations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma/GED completion, 5-7 years of experience in the solids control industry, and a strong mechanical background and aptitude.
  • Computer Skills: Effective working skills in MS Word, Excel, and programming languages, including ladder and scripted text.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of equipment maintenance practices, knowledge of SAP, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
