Position OverviewIn this role, you will be responsible for the daily administration of disability and leave programs, serving as a vital resource for employees, HR Business Partners, and management. Your expertise will help identify areas for improvement and enhance the overall effectiveness of our programs.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the administration of all aspects of leave of absence programs, including disability leaves and other company-specific policies.
- Act as the primary contact for inquiries related to leave, providing accurate information and guidance to employees and managers.
- Review and assess leave requests to ensure compliance with relevant laws and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with employees and external providers to manage documentation and facilitate smooth transitions back to work.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on disability-related issues, including short-term and long-term disability.
- Partner with external vendors to enhance the management of leave and disability programs.
- Maintain comprehensive and confidential records related to leave and disability cases.
- Stay informed about applicable laws and regulations to ensure compliance and update policies as necessary.
- Provide training and support to HR colleagues and management on leave and disability processes.
- Conduct analysis and reporting on leave programs to identify opportunities for enhancements.
- Support initiatives aimed at promoting wellness and work-life balance within the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in managing leave and disability programs, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of leave laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Collaborative approach with a focus on customer service.
- Proficiency in HR information systems and leave management software.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends.
